With the Supreme Court scheduled to rule today on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act, and the court-watchers of the nation biting their nails in anticipation of the ruling, now seems a suitable time to remember that there are variables that can affect your business over which you have no control.
Things in the world can benefit or harm your business; there can be no doubt about this, but Nathan nonetheless has it right when he says that bad business is your fault. There are too many variables under your control, too many things you could be doing in your business each day, too many attributes and skills you could be developing through practice for you to cast the nets of praise and blame elsewhere.
Today and every day, consider what you can do, at the present moment, to improve your business.
Then do it!
